To celebrate our 17th anniversary, I was determined to take formal pictures on the mountain near our home. While hiking up to the location, Tina (Mile High Photography) and I plotted to create a styled photoshoot featuring my brother and his gorgeous wife, Ashley. She is a dancer, and he is a “pretty boy”! What could be better for a styled shoot featuring my designs? I’ve been creating custom gowns for over 12 years, but with the recent launch of our first line, I wanted to showcase its mix and match pieces. Any bride can take these pieces and customize them to her unique style — an authentic tribute to the bride.
On the day of the shoot, Tina worked her magic at a beautiful location near Castle Rock. With her eye for lighting and capturing moments, she was able to not only show the movement of our gown but also its unique details in the Italian lace and two-toned tulle through her photography.
Ashley is wearing a simple straight cut skirt, sweetheart corset, and lace shirt. The same skirt and corset are paired with the lace overlay of the Aster Gown. Unlike traditional gowns, these pieces offer multiple looks. Wouldn’t you love to re-use parts from your wedding gown for a night on the town or even at an anniversary party! This is what makes our dresses so unique! Re-use, re-purpose, and re-invent your gown.
The bouquet! Ashley is also showcasing a beautiful bouquet designed by Blumenhaus Denver. These flowers are indeed a unique and intimate work of art! Valen Ibarra, the florist, uses European and new wave floristry in all her designs.
Let’s not forget the groom! My brother (seriously, such a great sport putting up with me) is modeling a grey suit with pink accessories.
