How much time is needed to make a custom gown?
Most custom gowns take between 4-6 months, please plan accordingly. If you need a gown sooner please contact us for availability.
Can I request a different lace for the ready-made gowns?
Yes, you can request a different lace for any of the ready-made gowns. Schedule a consultation for options.
Can I request a different color for a ready-made dress?
Yes, we can make any of the ready-made dresses in any color. Schedule a consultation to discuss options.
Can I add sleeves to a ready-made dress?
Yes, you can add sleeves to any of the ready-made dresses, or change the neckline. Schedule a consultation to discuss options.
How do your sizes work?
All of our sizes are standard US dress size. Use the sizing chart to find your size. Not sure what size? Check out the sizing video to help guide you.
What if I am two different sizes in bodice and skirt?
We recommend purchasing the skirt and bodice separate if you size varies between the two, instead of buying the “complete look.” The lace overlay has some give/stretch. If more then 2 sizes difference in bodice and skirt we recommend ordering the overlay in your larger size and then having it altered in your smaller areas. We are happy to answer any sizing questions you might have. Through e-mail or a consultation.
How to care and clean for an Averil Marie gown?
Most of our ready to wear gowns are made out of a polyester blend that is easy to hand wash in warm water, with a mild detergent and hang to dry. Steam to reduce wrinkles if needed. If you have a custom made gown you will receive instructions for that gown depending on the fabric used.
